CTR Northern’s journey began in 1969 at 986 Wall Street in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a vision to provide top-tier refrigeration equipment through the Carrier Transicold transport dealership. Starting with selling, installing, and repairing refrigeration equipment for trucks and trailers, we quickly became known for our quality service and commitment to our customers.

By 1985, we expanded into the automotive and industrial sector, starting with just one shelf of inventory. Our determination and customer-first approach allowed us to grow into a massive warehouse that now holds hundreds of product lines and over 2,000,000 SKUs. As our reputation for sourcing hard-to-find products grew, so did our relationships with major buying groups, allowing us to bring even more value to our customers.

In 1995, we saw a growing demand from Northern Manitoba and Nunavut for the same reliable products and services we had become known for. That year, CTR Northern was created to meet the needs of remote communities. Over the years, our team has traveled across the North, forming strong relationships with our customers, who have always welcomed us with open arms.

Today, with over 100 dedicated employees, we remain true to the values that built this company—integrity, commitment, and a deep respect for our community.
